Key player likely to miss out on Sheffield Wednesday’s trip to Brentford due to ‘minor foot injury’

Up until the weekend, the huge Norwegian has participated in every Premier League match for Thomas Frank’s team this season. However, he was forced to miss Saturday afternoon’s thrilling 4-3 match against Ipswich Town due to a knock.

Frank clarified later that it’s nothing too serious, but he did imply that he most likely won’t play against the Owls either as they prepare him for their impending return to Premier League action following a stint against Danny Röhl’s team in the Carabao Cup.

This is a slight foot ailment, the Bees manager stated. Perhaps we could have forced him to play the game today, but it wouldn’t have been worth it. He should be well and available for Fulham once we rest him today and most likely again on Tuesday.

After Akin Famewo hobbled off during Wednesday’s victory over Portsmouth, it was reported that Olaf Kobacki would be sidelined for a while, and Pol Valentin would also miss time due to suspension. It is anticipated that Röhl will make several changes once more, and you would imagine that his Brentford counterpart will follow suit.

Sheffield Wednesday: Dictatorial concerns Danny Rohl's caution as Watford and Sunderland search for a new manager

This Wednesday’s draw, which follows Manchester City’s match against Tottenham Hotspur, presents an opportunity to break that record and secure a berth in the competition’s quarterfinals.
