Prior to Sunderland’s Championship matchup with Luton Town, Régis Le Bris has made a significant change to his starting lineup. There is also one significant change from the team that defeated Hull City: Alan Browne has joined Le Bris’ squad to play Luton Town at Kenilworth Road on Wednesday, with Patrick Roberts expected to drop to the bench. Chris Rigg is anticipated to move to the right-hand side of Sunderland’s attack, with Browne joining Dan Neil and Jobe Bellingham in the midfield.

Le Bris has given Wilson Isidor the nod up front once again after his winning goal against Hull City last weekend took his tally to three in four starts. Romaine Mundle will play on the opposite side to Rigg, taking up his usual position on the left-hand side.

Le Bris has chosen to remain intact with regard to Sunderland’s back line. Chris Mepham and Luke O’Nien are the Black Cats’ two central defenders, and Anthony Patterson begins in goal. Trai Hume will start on the opposing defensive wing, while Dennis Cirkin will occupy his customary position at left-back.

Adil Aouchiche also makes the substitutes after making his comeback against the Tigers last Sunday, and Roberts is benched for the match against Luton Town.Leo Hjelde and Zak Johnson are the only two natural defenders Sunderland has on the bench.

Patternson, Hume, Cirkin, Mepham, O’Nien, Browne, Neil, Jobe, Rigg, Mundle, and Isidor make up Sunderland’s starting lineup.

Moore, Johnson, Hjelde, Roberts, Rusyn, Aouchiche, Aleksic, Connolly, and Watson are Sunderland replacements.
