Heavy delays on A12 at Kelvedon after serious crash

Following the dispatch of an air ambulance following a serious collision, the A12 has been reopened.

A major incident on the northbound carriageway of the A12 between junction 23 at Kelvedon and junction 24 at Feering prompted emergency services to be summoned to the area at around 10.30 am.

To facilitate the air ambulance’s landing, the southbound highway was blocked.

There were Essex Police officers present.

Drivers are being cautioned about significant delays and encouraged to take other routes.
