‘Still missing something’ – Stoke City vs Bristol City prediction: The72

Stoke City and Bristol City face off in the Championship on Tuesday night with both sides looking to build on their weekend performances.

Stoke City picked up a decent point against Norwich City at the weekend but will be hoping to go one further as they face Bristol City in midweek.

Narcis Pelach‘s side played their part in a competitive game against the Spaniard’s former employers on Saturday. Million Manhoef’s goal ensured the Potters took a point from the tie and while the win eluded them, it was a display to be pleased with.

Stoke City now sit 16th as they target a rise up the table.

Bristol City, on the other hand, had a fantastic road win over Middlesbrough, winning 2-0.

On an emotional day for the Robins, goals from Anis Mehmeti and Yu Hirakawa defeated Boro. Chris Hogg served as their leader while Liam Manning took a leave of absence after the death of his son.

It was City’s first away victory in four games, and it should be the beginning of a positive trend.

Here are some of our writers’ predictions for the match.

Ray James

Stoke City appears to be adapting to Pelach’s methods, and it is hoped that they will begin to win games in order to move up the Championship table.

Even though they didn’t get the three points on Saturday, they faced a skilled and well-prepared Norwich City team. The Potters should feel confident going into this match if they receive a point against them, which is a nice outcome.

However, Bristol City performed admirably on the road on Saturday. They fought valiantly and took calculated risks, and if they do the same here, they can achieve a comparable outcome.

Pelach and the Potters are making progress, but they still lack a component that would enable them to convert these draws into victories. That won’t be here, but I’m sure it will arrive in due time.

Forecast: Bristol City 1-0 Stoke City
Harry Mail

Stoke City, who are now beginning to settle in, will view this as a game in which they should win three points.

“Pelach is still trying to convince the players of his ideas, and patience is still needed.”

Following their victory over Middlesbrough on the road over the weekend, Bristol City will be feeling optimistic. They will be looking for more of the same against the Potters because not many saw them achieve that outcome.
