‘Shambolic’ – Sky Sports pundit tears into Ipswich man after ‘Terrible’ moment vs. Everton

Lee Hendrie has taken a harsh stance against Ipswich Town forward Wes Burns due to a “shambolic” incident that involved Iliman Ndiaye during the match at Portman Road.

Ndiaye and Michael Keane goals on Saturday, October 19, helped Sean Dyche’s team return to winning ways following the international break against Kieran McKenna’s Tractor Boys.

Ndiaye’s goal was spectacular, but Sky Sports analyst Hendrie wasn’t before criticising Burns for his “awful” attempt at clearing in the build-up that gave the Toffees forward the opportunity.

Speaking on Saturday, October 19, at 15:34 on Sky Sports Soccer, he stated: “It’s Everton, and Iliman Ndiaye scores the goal.

It’s a little erratic, but it’s fair play. Wes Burns needs to perform much better because he has already reacted. The ball is coming in from the right side, it’s being whipped in deep, and the defence is simply dreadful.

Harrison swats this ball in at a mere half-yard depth. I’m not sure what Wes Burns is doing, and Dara O’Shea isn’t really handling it either. He tries to touch the ball, misses it entirely, and then tries to kick it away.

Iliman Ndiaye has the opportunity to score, and he easily does so past Muric in the far post. He won’t desire”

What happened to Ipswich star Wes Burns v Everton at Portman Road?

Although Everton supporters won’t be complaining, even they will have been perplexed as to what Burns was attempting to accomplish at Portman Road on Saturday.

The Wales player appeared to have plenty of time to clear his lines, but by dallying with the ball, he essentially gave Ndiaye permission to come get it and score his second Premier League goal of the year.

Sean Dyche

Seeing his new forward back on the scoresheet following the international break would have delighted Dyche. With his performance on Saturday, he put an end to any concerns that he might have sustained a fresh injury.

I hope that in the upcoming months, he will be able to consistently find the net. The pressure on Dominic Calvert-Lewin in front of goal has significantly decreased thanks to Ndiaye’s addition of another dimension at the top of the pitch.
