“Ridiculous” – Aaron Lennon thinks Leeds United have “frightening” player primed for breakthrough

Leeds’ ability to produce academy talent is one of their advantages, regardless of where they are in the football hierarchy.

Producing players who are ready for the first team on a regular basis has saved the club millions of dollars, as Archie Gray demonstrated the previous season.

Aaron Lennon: Harry Gray is “ridiculous” and everyone will want him

Aaron Lennon, a former graduate of Thorp Arch Academy, worked with the team for a while last season while he pursued his UEFA B coaching license.

During that period, he was able to get a closer look at some of the talented individuals rising through the ranks, including Harry Gray, the newest member of the Gray family.

After playing against Harrogate Town during preseason training under Daniel Farke, the 16-year-old is already leaving a lasting impact on the team.

Will Leeds get promoted this season?

Lennon recently appeared on talkSPORT (18/10), where he talked about the aptitude of the most recent Gray graduate from Thorp Arch:

“He is absurd; I worked with him at Leeds last season. He is frightful. He’s a number nine, or ten. To be honest, he has a wide variety.

He’s so excellent that I don’t want to talk about him too much since I believe everyone will want him.

It is quite uncommon to find a generational talent like Archie Gray, therefore Leeds should be thrilled to have a younger sibling who is expected to perform at a similar level.

Although the forward is only 16 and hasn’t yet played for the United States national team, you don’t want to put too much pressure on him, but all the signs point to Leeds having another star on their hands.

It’s a concern that, like with Archie, we may have to work hard to keep him after everyone finds out about his breakthrough.
