The gossip mill has cranked up a gear since the couple were photographed together in London.
Brendan Rodgers was well aware that being photographed with Kieran Tierney would prompt tongues to wag quickly. Last weekend, the Celtic manager was spotted speaking with his former players. Rodgers and Tierney were seen together at the Celtic FC Foundation’s London Gala event, with an image circulating of the two conversing. After the photo surfaced and the Parkhead manager was made aware of it, fans immediately began talking about the Scotland full-back returning to his previous club from Arsenal. Rodgers stated: “It was nice to see him. I’ve always kept in touch with Kieran while we were both down there. It was lovely to see him.
“Obviously, he’s been out injured, so the club’s invitation was a nice touch.” He was an excellent player for this club, and it is unfortunate that his time at Arsenal has been marred by injuries and other issues. But it doesn’t take much anymore to get tongues wagging!”
