Derek Beaumont, the owner of Leigh Leopards, has once again attacked Hull FC and their IMG-run operations, stating that they will not earn Grade A classification the next week.

For most of this year, Beaumont and Hull have been engaged in a public rivalry. The owner of Leigh has continuously criticized the Black and Whites’ tactics despite their safety from relegation; last month, he even declared that he would “legally fight” to have the team demoted from the Super League if they placed last.

Despite Hull’s eventual 11th-place finish ahead of the London Broncos, Beaumont has once again attacked the team, stating that he thinks they would have performed quite differently if relegation had been a possibility this season.

Additionally, he expressed his belief that they will lose the Grade A distinction they earned the previous season.

“There is no way you would have seen what you got served up from Hull FC if IMG weren’t involved,” Beaumont said on the Super League Raw YouTube channel. Adam Pearson, the owner of Hull FC, had absolutely no chance of getting rid of all those players, saving his money, banking it, and not giving a damn about the season.

That was due to the fact that they were only concerned with receiving an A, which I doubt they will when the results are out.

They were about.05 over it (the threshold), and their league standing alone will cause them to fall, so while I believe they’ll be safe, I don’t think it will be an A.

“That’s an advertisement for why you can’t have a competition where your performance on the field is so insignificant.”

But one team that Beaumont did commend for their efforts under IMG’s plans is Castleford Tigers, who should see a significant score boost when the grades are announced on Wednesday.
