Bamford looking to quit Leeds in 2025

Bamford has had a rough year under Daniel Farke, with the striker sliding behind Mateo Joseph and Joel Piroe in the attacking pecking order during the 2024/25 season. Bamford had a few injury concerns during Farke’s first season in command, but he scored eight goals to help Leeds reach the playoff final at Wembley Stadium.

His purple spell in front of goal was under Marcleo Bielsa, when he scored 16 goals in the Championship title-winning season and 17 in the Premier League in 2020/21.

However, Bamford is now hoping to leave Leeds in 2025, according to latest sources, after becoming dissatisfied with his playing opportunities under Farke.

Patrick Bamford’s stats at Leeds
Appearances 191
Goals 60
Assists 22

The centre-forward, Leeds’ highest earner at £70,000 per week, has about 18 months left on his Elland Road contract, and 49ers Enterprises may have already identified a replacement for the 31-year-old.

Leeds linked with Red Bull forward

According to The Daily Mail, as relayed by MOT Leeds News, RB Salzburg forward Adam Daghim is set to join Leeds. Leeds now have a connection to the club thanks to their partnership with Red Bull; but, Premier League clubs Brentford and Leicester City are also interested in the 19-year-old.

The Whites appear to be a possible destination for Daghim, who was linked with Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund last month.

Pep Lijnders, who presently manages RB Salzburg, recently praised Daghim, telling Football Transfers that “Adam has great potential.” I do not like to pick out individual individuals, but he is talented, quick, committed, and has a large heart. “He works for the team.”

Daghim, a Danish youth international, can play as a right winger, left winger, or centre forward and is valued at €5 million by Transfermarkt. The 6-foot-1 attacker has just 18 months left on his Salzburg contract and has two senior goals in 16 appearances for his current club.

Football Talent Scout Jacek Kulig is equally impressed with Daghim, citing his pace and acceleration, off-the-ball movement, pressing, technique, and dribbling as key attributes.

“That’s his signature move. When Daghim sees an open space to run into and a teammate holding a ball, he immediately asks a pass. It frequently finishes with a deadly cross.

“Daghim has excellent instincts and comprehension of what is going on on the pitch. He’s either ready to sprint and catch a long ball or close enough to hurry up the action.

“With his excellent quickness and acceleration, the Dane should fit right in with Liefering’s long-ball and counter-attack mentality. It’s also one of the reasons he’s the team’s leading goal scorer.

Daghim’s potential transfer to Yorkshire in 2025, as well as Bamford’s future at Elland Road, will be closely watched.
