Wrexham face off with Rotherham United in a League One clash on Saturday, October 19th.

Before the October international break, the Phil Parkinson-led team went through a difficult spell.

They played Leyton Orient to a scoreless draw and then lost to Stevenage 1-0.

Despite having played one more game than Birmingham City, Wrexham dropped to second place in League One, trailing the Blues by two points.

That said, the Welsh team did return to winning ways in their last game prior to the most recent break.

Among the notable players in Wrexham’s 4-1 victory over Northampton Town were James McClean and Ryan Barnett.

However, that tie took place at the Racecourse Ground where the Red Dragons are currently undefeated in 2024/25.

Their away record is much less impressive this season but they should still be favourites to beat a Rotherham United side who are languishing in midtable currently.

Wrexham team news ahead of Rotherham United

Before their Saturday afternoon match against Rotherham, Wrexham has three primary injury worries.

George Evans “felt something crack” against Stevenage, Max Cleworth had an ankle injury against Leyton Orient, and Luke Bolton is presently out with an injury.

When Parkinson gave an update on Cleworth, Evans, and Bolton’s injuries earlier this week, it was good news for Cleworth; but, Evans will be sidelined for some time.

“We need everyone for the upcoming week,” he stated, adding that the squad was looking good.

Wrexham predicted XI vs Rotherham United

This weekend, there might be a few changes to the Wrexham starting lineup, including Ollie Palmer moving to the bench.

Palmer has been called “brilliant” in the past, and even though he recently signed a new contract, his goal return this season has been low.

Modou Faal, a summer signing, might so finally get to experience League One action this coming weekend.

Starting in midweek against Wolves’ U21 team, the striker was voted Man of the Match by Wrexham supporters.

The rest of the eleven is likely to look very similar to the one that started the win over Northampton, though Cleworth could potentially replace Scarr at centre-back if he is fit enough.

Here’s how we think Wrexham will line up against Rotherham on Saturday…
