Graeme Murty is a coach held in high regards at Sunderland, having done a lot of good work with the club’s U21s side he arrived in 2022.

The former Reading stalwart has helped oversee the development of some exciting players, including the likes of Chris Rigg and Tommy Watson.

Recently, it was suggested on social media that Hartlepool United were taking an interest in Murty, having sacked Darren Sarll after just 15 games in charge.

Hartlepool United are struggling in the National League, currently sitting in 16th place of the table after the opening 13 games.
