Munster make five changes for Stomers battle in Cape Town

Munster make five changes from the team that lost to Leinster in Croke Park, for their URC clash with Stormers in Cape Town.

Shane Daly, Conor Murray, John Ryan, Tom Ahern and Emerging Ireland stand-out Alex Kendellen all come into the starting XV with

Jack O’Donoghue shifting from flanker to no.8.

Daly returns from an elbow injury to start on the left wing with Mike Haley at full-back and Calvin Nash on the right wing.

Murray starts with Jack Crowley in the half-backs on his 197th Munster appearance as Alex Nankivell and Tom Farrell continue their

centre partnership.

Jeremy Loughman, Niall Scannell and Ryan make up the front-row with Jean Kleyn and captain Tadhg Beirne in the engine room.

Ahern and Kendellen join Jack O’Donoghue in the back row for their first starts of the season. Ahern returned from an ankle injury

last week with Kendellen captaining Emerging Ireland on their recent tour to South Africa.

Academy players Kieran Ryan and Ruadhán Quinn are among the replacements with Billy Burns also included on his return from a

shoulder injury.

Hooker Eoghan Clarke, Kieran Ryan and Stephen Archer provide the front row back-up with Clarke in line for his first appearance of

the season.

Fineen Wycherley and Quinn complete the forward cover.

Ethan Coughlan, Burns and Seán O’Brien are the backline replacements with Coughlan in line for his first Munster appearance of the

season having toured with Emerging Ireland.

On the injury front, Craig Casey is unavailable due to a knock.

For their URC match against Stormers in Cape Town, Munster makes five changes from the squad that lost to Leinster at Croke Park.

Jack O’Donoghue moves from flanker to number eight, allowing Shane Daly, Conor Murray, John Ryan, Tom Ahern, and Emerging

Ireland standout Alex Kendellen to all enter the starting lineup.

Mike Haley starts at full-back, Calvin Nash on the right wing, and Daly, who is back from an elbow injury, starts on the left wing.

On his 197th Munster appearance, Murray starts with Jack Crowley in the half-backs while Alex Nankivell and Tom Farrell maintain

their centre partnership.

Ryan, Niall Scannell, and Jeremy Loughman make up the front row, with Jean Kleyn and skipper Tadhg Beirne in the engine room.

When Ahern and Kendellen make their season debuts, they are seated behind Jack O’Donoghue. After recovering from an ankle injury

last week, Ahern led Emerging Ireland on their recent visit to South Africa as captain, alongside Kendellen.

Aside from Billy Burns, who is making his comeback from a shoulder injury, the replacements include academy youngsters Kieran

Ryan and Ruadhán Quinn.

Quinn and Fineen Wycherley round out the forward cover.

Burns, Seán O’Brien, and Ethan Coughlan will be the backline replacements. Coughlan is expected to make his Munster debut after

touring with Emerging Ireland.

Regarding injuries, Craig Casey is not available because of a knock.
