This season, Bayern must overcome a lot of competition.
Under previous head coach Thomas Tuchel, Jamal Musiala of Bayern Munich saw the team’s season collapse tragically last year. The season was miserable, marked only by the humiliation of coming in third in a two-horse race as VfB Stuttgart defeated the Bavarian powerhouses to win the Vezimeister championship.
“There is pressure when you win a trophy,” Musiala stated in an interview with The Guardian in English, which was recorded by @iMiaSanMia. “We just need to focus on ourselves right now and do the things that we maybe didn’t do last season there is a lot of good competition in the league.””
Very wise remarks, but they’ll be hard to carry out. The league leaders have had a rather good start to the season, but strong beginnings have never prevailed in a title fight. Bayern has to do better this season because they were not able to keep up the pace in the Bundesliga the previous one.
