Norwich City’s signing of Kellen Fisher from non-league Bromley last summer is yielding positive results.
The 20-year-old earned his Canaries debut last season and has since appeared in 14 games across all competitions as he continues to grow with the Norfolk club.
Since his arrival at Carrow Road, Johannes Hoff Thorup has gone from strength to strength, establishing himself to be one of the division’s best young prospects, having moved above Jack Stacey in the current pecking order.
We chatted with Football League World’s Norwich City fan analyst, Zeke Downes, about the young phenom who appears to be headed for success based on his early exploits in yellow and green.

Fisher, who started the season as a backup, has recently been promoted to the starting lineup for City, appearing in their past four league games.
The youthful star has won three matches and secured a point against Leeds United at Carrow Road, showcasing his defensive and offensive abilities.

The 18-year-old has been finding the back of the net on a regular basis for the Canaries’ junior team recently.
Fisher’s poise in and out of possession reflects his Football League experience, despite only having played 14 Championship matches since last summer.
As he settles into his new surroundings in East Anglia, Downes is pleased with what he has seen from the rising star, with the choice to promote him from the fifth tier already proving sensible.
When queried about the transaction, the Canaries fan stated, “I definitely think that the signing of Kellen Fisher, as a very young player, was a masterstroke.”
“He simply has something about him – especially at this level – that makes it appear simple for him.

As his young career progresses, it is unsurprising that Fisher is expected to join the Premier League in the next years.
The teenage sensation was scouted by top flight pair Brentford and Wolves while still in non-league, and it appears that more attention may emerge given his performances at Carrow Road.
It remains to be seen if he will make it to the top with the Canaries, but his early performances have shown that he might play a significant role in City’s success this season, with the Norfolk outfit beginning to click before the international break.
Fisher has yet to lose a Championship game this season, but he is proving he can hold his own in the second tier, and Downes feels there will be plenty more plaudits for him if his present trend continues.
He went on to say, “He’s still very young, and I believe his future is quite bright. We’ve had him for a long time, and he might end up being worth a lot of money. This is especially true given his youthful age and English origin.
“I could see him playing in the Premier League in the future, and possibly for England, but it all depends because he is obviously a right-back, and our right-backs are probably better than our left-backs.”
“But he has also proven that he is able to play at left-back, so who knows if that could be a thing as well.”
