£12m ace has his bags packed and Everton are only club named as destination

With the January transfer market approaching quickly, one Champions League player has already packed his bags, with Everton the sole club mentioned in the report as a possible future destination.
Everton Transfer News
Everton’s star sounded the alarm at Goodison Park as another Premier League relegation battle loomed. After dropping points from winning situations against Bournemouth and Aston Villa, the Toffees eventually got their footing before the international break, drew twice and winning their first game of the season against fellow strugglers Crystal Palace.
To suggest Sean Dyche needed that recent run would be an understatement, given suspicions that the Friedkin Group has switched their focus to Maurizio Sarri in preparation for completing their ownership of Everton. For the time being, the former Burnley manager remains in charge and is charged with extending Everton’s comeback in a critical six-pointer against Ipswich Town following the international break.

If that stays the case by the January transfer window, Dyche may even receive a much-needed boost in the form of reinforcements, considering recent reports of a Champions League winger looking to leave his current club.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, via Sport Witness, Samuel Chukwueze has already packed his bags at AC Milan, with Everton mentioned as a potential destination. The Nigerian, valued at €14 million (£12 million), has made only two starts in Serie A this season and is increasingly in need of a fresh start away from the San Siro.

After only moving to Milan in the summer of 2023, Chukwueze’s departure in January would highlight how terribly things have gone in Italy over the last 14 months. However, what Milan loses might swiftly become Everton’s gain if they make their bid and return the winger to his sparkling form.

“Great” Chukwueze would make an excellent coup.
Even after a rough stint at Milan, Chukwueze is more than capable of making an impact once he regains his much-needed confidence, which Everton may provide. This is still a winger who piqued the interest of those in Italy after dominating La Liga at Villarreal, and he might prove to be an amazing coup if those at Goodison Park capitalise on his desire to leave Milan.

Of course, fans at the San Siro will remain upset that things have yet to work out for the winger who garnered praise from colleague Rafael Leao last season. The Milan star termed Chukwueze “great,” but the 25-year-old has yet to match his 13 goals and 11 assists from Villarreal in the previous season. Everton now has the opportunity to make their move and capitalize on it in January.
