“Road Warriors We Will Be.” – Cowboys HC Mike McCarthy On The Need For Dallas To Improve Their Away Form After Loss To Miami.

The Miami Dolphins moved a step closer to the number one seed with a hard fought 22-20 win over the Cowboys.

The Miami team go 11-4 and Dallas head coach Mike McCarthy admitted the team will need to

work on their away form as then post-season approaches.

“It was a hard-fought game,” McCarthy told the team’s official website.

There are many lessons to be learned from this, and it provides you an idea of what it may be like to go on the road to finish this.

We made a few mistakes, which makes us sad. We were backed up twice and failed to change the field position, so we did not support our defense there. This was part of my horse-backed up plan.

Dallas is currently on a losing skid for the first time this season and is 3-5 away from AT&T Stadium.

“We didn’t have a takeaway, but we had a giveaway. It’s those big mistakes you can’t make in these games, but I think the resilience, battle and grit that we’re looking for — we clearly have that,” he said.

The Cowboys are now 10-5 and will likely not make a run at the number one position.

We have to play better than we did today,” he added. “We have to play above it on the road. Road warriors we will be.”

They will have to be road warriors, as a trip away from Texas is looking likely.
