Los Angeles Rams: Puka Nacua Proves Himself As The NFL Offensive Rookie Of The Year

Against the New Orleans Saints on Thursday night, the Los Angeles Rams maintained their hopes of making the playoffs.

The Rams are suddenly favorites to make the playoffs after defeating the Saints 30–22, and nobody in the NFC wants to see them there.

They have been playing really well these last several weeks, and Puka Nacua, their rookie star, has been one of the key players

throughout the entire season. Puka surprised everyone by playing incredibly well during Cooper Kupp’s injury and has

continued to have a significant influence even with Kupp back in the starting lineup.

Nacua was selected in the late round of the NFL draft and has had a significant influence since the first week of play.

Nacua’s season totals are now 96 catches for 1,327 yards and 5 touchdowns.

He concluded the game with an outstanding 9 catches for 164 yards and a touchdown.

To put it mildly, it was a spectacular season, and Nacua once again produced clutch receptions when the Rams needed them.

Nacua should easily win offensive rookie of the year this year as he is on track to record the most receiving yards of any rookie in NFL history.

Matthew Stafford is definitely crucial in Nacua’s success and has been the quarterback for many legendary receiver years now.

If Puka can continue his legendary production for three more games he should walk away with a few rookie records and take home the award of best offensive rookie in the NFL.

Puka Nacua Of The Los Angeles Rams Is Already In The Hall Of Fame

Puka Nacua already has one of his jerseys in the NFL Hall of Fame after completing the greatest first 5 games of a rookie receiver ever. When Nacua was drafted he had much different expectations for how the season would go.

He was quoted saying:

“I was thinking about how would I be able to block well enough to get on the field and if I was going to be a special

teams player and how I was going to be able to figure that out,”

He has done much more than that and now has his head coach Sean McVay raving about his play and how

he should definitely take home the honor of rookie of the year. McVay was quoted in a recent ESPN article saying:

“He’s really special, “But the best part about him is, he doesn’t worry about those things.

He worries about just being a great teammate, continuing to improve his game. [I] sure love this team. And he’s one of those guys that you really love.

”Even though CJ Stroud has had a fantastic season, his injury might have prevented him from winning offensive rookie of the year at the end of the campaign.

With six games this season where he has recorded 100 or more receiving yards, Puka has taken the NFL by storm.

As the Rams prepare for a postseason run, Nacua will continue to eat up and build on his incredible rookie campaign..
