Danny Murphy is interested to selects a “Star” Aston Villa player to join Liverpool in January.

The most recent Aston Villa news is revealed by analyst Danny Murphy, who names the claret and blue star he would most like to sign for Liverpool.

Danny Murphy, a former midfielder for Liverpool, disclosed which Aston Villa player he would most want to see suit up for the Reds.

Murphy was questioned about which Villa player he would personally choose to sign with Liverpool. Though the analyst would pick a different player to Anfield, he named-checked midfielder Jacob Ramsey as his “favourite player” in the Villa lineup.

There is a “cool” player and “super athlete” in the heart of the Villa defence that Murphy would sign instead. A much-improved player that Murphy did not see becoming as good as he now is.

“Ramsey is my favourite player there. He’s really good,” Murphy told the Vibe with Five podcast. “But, from a defensive point of view, who has improved and I couldn’t see (it coming) is Konsa.

“How cool is he? He’s a super athlete. Good on the ball. He’s calm, and one-on-one he’s cool.”

Konsa joined Villa from upcoming opponents Brentford back in 2019. In almost four-and-a-half seasons at the club, he has made 156 appearances, scoring six times from the back.

Speaking last month after committing his long-term future to Villa, Konsa said: “It’s an exciting time to be a Villa player right now,” Konsa admitted. “The direction the club is going in is really good.

“We’ve demonstrated that since last season. We aspire to improve this season after winning the Europa Conference League. We’re hoping to do better than we did the previous season.

“We are moving in a really positive direction, and everyone at Villa is having a great time playing football. There is an extremely upbeat vibe surrounding the training facility and the field. Like a close-knit tiny family, we are all connected. We are all eager to play, even if it is afar.
