Daniel Levy compromise predicted for Tottenham and Everton talks over Dele Alli after multi-million snub

We are excited to have former Scotland right-back Alan Hutton join us as an exclusive columnist.

Every week, he will share his thoughts on the most talked-about topics at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

In order for Dele Alli to restart his stagnant career at Goodison Park, Alan Hutton thinks

Tottenham and Everton will come to an amicable agreement regarding the player.

Dele, 27, is presently wasting away at Everton since the club will have to pay Spurs £10 million

when he makes 20 appearances. But after losing 10 points last month, Everton is taking great care to

ensure they don’t break any additional profit and sustainability regulations set by the Premier League.

As it stands, the ex-England midfielder is on 13 games and the cash-strapped Toffees have tried

to negotiate a different deal with Suprs where they won’t have to pay as much.

The Times reported on 9 December that Tottenham have agreed to lower the £10million fee down

to £8million. However, it is understood that would be triggered by fewer than 20 appearances.

It is understood that Everton have rejected that offer from Spurs.

Hutton hopes to see Dele back in action soon and although Daniel Levy is a tough

businessman, the ex-Spurs right-back expects a compromise to be reached between the two Premier League clubs.

Given what’s going on with him, it’s a fair bargain, Hutton told Toronto News.

“He’s had a lot of difficulties lately, and you just want to see him play again to put this all behind him.

He must be working really hard at it. He had to recover from an injury, lost confidence and form, and now

he has to deal with the possibility of not being able to play because his team will have to pay millions

of dollars if he plays a set number of games.

Having said that, I am aware of how Tottenham operates, and Daniel Levy is an excellent businessman.

There’s no way that he will give someone away for free.

“They just need to come to an agreement in the middle, and it will get resolved.”

“I think that will happen eventually, but hopefully for Dele Alli, it will happen soon.”

In other Tottenham news, Dele Alli could be used as a way for Spurs to sign this “fantastic” Premier League defender.
