Who is Everton Transfer Target Archie Brown? Player profile, links and fee

Everton is eager to sign a former EFL prodigy, but they will have to wait due to a FIFA restriction!

Archie Brown, a defender for Gent, is reportedly very interested in joining Everton, but they will have to wait.

Everton will undoubtedly exercise caution in January following their 10-point deduction the previous month.

because to violations of the Premier League’s environmental and profit policies.

As a result, it’s unlikely that Sean Dyche would have a sizable sum made available for him to spend in

January, however this would indicate that The Toffees are trying to find a deal instead.

Which in ways could actually be better for Everton, given how successful other teams have been at making profits on bargains.

But who is it that Everton are looking at bringing in?

Everton target Archie Brown

Everton’s target is now focussed upon 21-year-old left-back Archie Brown who is currently playing in Belgium according to the Daily Mail.

The Goodison Park side will face competition from Burnley along with some unnamed Bundesliga and Serie A sides.

Brown only joined his current side Gent over the summer and had made three league appearances for Lausanne prior to this move.

This creates a bit of an issue due to the FIFA rule which states a player can’t play for three teams in a season, so a move may need to wait until June.

How much would Archie Brown cost?

Gent paid £3.4 million for Brown’s signing in the summer, so it’s doubtful that they will sell for a price that makes them lose money.

Rather, they most certainly spent nearly twice as much for the Englishman.

This would most likely be a transaction that Everton could close, though they will undoubtedly exercise caution to avoid more fines.

We would definitely like to see Everton sign a player who is developing quickly and getting better all the time.

On Everton’s left side of defense, he would offer Vitaliy Mykolenko competition and great cover.
