Aston Villa willing to pay fixed sum to sign “incredible” player in January

Being a versatile player, he might assist Emery in resolving issues in multiple crucial areas.

According to a source, Unai Emery would aim to feed into Aston Villa’s high hopes in January by attempting to sign a gifted player from the continent. The team is currently enjoying incredible success.

Can Aston Villa win the League?

Whisper it, but Aston Villa gave their Premier League title ambitions a major shot in the arm after recording back-to-back 1-0

victories over Manchester City and Arsenal at Villa Park, which is a crazy notion considering that they were embroiled in a relegation scrap little more than a year ago.

Emery has performed admirably since taking over as manager, but the Villans‘ backroom crew and recruitment team also

deserve a great deal of recognition for the work they have done in the West Midlands behind the scenes.

With 16 league games played in the division, the team has 35 points, two points behind league leaders Liverpool.

Speaking to Sky Sports cited via BBC Sport, club captain John McGinn has revealed that his side are taking a modest

approach despite talk of a potential title challenge, as he stated: “I’m banning the T-word. It’s game week 16 so there’s a long

way to go. We respect everyone round about us who have been in this position for years. We’re newbies – if we can keep it up, we’ll see.”

The Villans’ outstanding play extends to the Europa League, as they will be guaranteed a spot in the competition’s knockout

round when they visit Zrinjski Mostar on Thursday night. Without a doubt, Aston Villa will draw individuals looking to advance

in their careers, and one man in particular is apparently being targeted to help out at left-back in January.

Aston Villa target Andrea Cambiaso is “incredible”

Sport Witness in Italy is reporting that Aston Villa and NSWE are keen to make a move in January for Andrea Cambiaso, a full-back for Juventus, for whom they would be willing to pay a set amount of approximately €15 million.

The 23-year-old is also being pursued by Fulham and Newcastle United, but the Old Lady are unwilling to allow him to leave the Allianz Stadium.

According to the outlet, the Villans have given up on Sevilla left-back Marcos Acuna, who surfaced as a summer target at Villa

Park, and are now looking for Cambiaso. In order to make way for him, Emery was eager to let go of France international Lucas Digne at the same time.

Cambiaso, who has been described as “incredible” by Genoa assistant manager Mauro Tassotti in the past, has proven to be a versatile player for Juventus, playing both left and right wing positions.

The Genova native has made 14 appearances across all competitions in 2023–24, tallying one goal and two assists (Cambiaso statistics – Transfermarkt).

Anticipating the New Year, Aston Villa could do much worse than add a rising talent such as Cambiaso to provide depth in several areas as they approach the campaign’s second half.
