Aston Villa £40m bid for a 19 years old star could be Accepted

Aston Villa £40m bid for Oscar Gloukh could be Accepted

Oscar Gloukh of RB Salzburg might join Aston Villa in January for a reported sum of between £40 and £50 million, according to sources who spoke with Football Insider.

Although Salzburg doesn’t want to lose the 19-year-old in the middle of the campaign, their Champions League exit is thought to be a major setback.

The Austrian powerhouses have a history of selling its finest players; in recent years, Patson Daka, Brenden Aaronson, and Dominik Szoboszlai have all left for large sums of money.

Gloukh only joined Salzburg earlier this year, but given the amount of interest in him from across Europe and the Premier League, it’s likely that they will struggle to hold onto the Israel international.

Gloukh is being watched by Aston Villa ahead of the January transfer window, according to Football Insider, which reported on Monday, December 11. The midfielder is thought to have a lot of promise.

With the ability to play on both wings and as an attacking midfielder, the teenager has a contract that expires in June 2027.

With 41 games under his belt, he has already scored eight goals and provided seven assists for Salzburg, including two in the Champions League.

With 16 games played, Aston Villa is now ranked third in the Premier League after an incredible start to the 2023–24 season.

Football Insiderrevealed on Tuesday (12 December) that Villa are also plotting a January move for an out-and-out striker despite the stellar form of Ollie Watkins this term.

The Midlands giants have qualified for the Europa Conference League’s knockout stage – which will take place from February.

It is believed the Midlands giants are ready to bolster their top-four credentials by moving for two additional attackers in January.
