Arsenal told to complete Ollie Watkins transfer amid major Gabriel Jesus admission

Ollie Watkins, an attacking player for Aston Villa, has already contributed eight assists and 13 goals in 23 games this season, but he was unable to score against Arsenal.

Legendary Arsenal player David Seaman has urged his old team to attempt to recruit England striker Ollie Watkins and Aston Villa in January.

With 13 goals and eight assists in 23 games across all competitions, the 27-year-old is having a fantastic season thus far for the Villains, helping Unai Emery’s team to keep winning.

While Eddie Nketiah has scored five goals in 21 games this season, and Gabriel Jesus has scored six goals in 16 games this season, Arsenal’s up-front options are relatively ineffective. As a result, some have questioned whether Jesus or Nketiah will be productive enough to help the Gunners maintain a Premier League title change. David Seaman, who won three league titles with Arsenal, stated on his podcast that signing Watkins would be a wise move for his former club during the January transfer window.

“[Watkins] is an excellent call. Indeed, as he is a box striker. I like that he stays out of the build-up play,” Seaman remarked. At times, I see Jesus to be too distant from me, and I tell him to return to the centre. Everyone is talking about how adding a new striker would help the team.

Watkins has scored goals this season, including victories away from home in the Premier League against Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur. However, his finest game to date was in September’s 6-1 victory against Brighton, where he notched three goals and assisted on another.
