“What a player”: Shay Given, who costs £2 million for Aston Villa, astounds Arsenal today.

McGinn was outstanding for Villa once more, scoring the game-winning goal for himself to extend Villa’s winning streak to 15 games at home.

Under Unai Emery, the Villans have a completely new appearance, and both the players and the supporters genuinely think that this may be a very exceptional season for them.

They are comfortably in the title picture and in the top four, some five points ahead of Man City.

Shay Given, the former goalie for Newcastle, praised McGinn’s performance while he was watching the game for Premier League Productions.

“What a player John McGinn is for this club. A captain and leader in every sense both on and off the pitch. Winning the league might be a big ask for them, but if you look at the top four, they will be thinking they have a real chance,” Given said.

McGinn a real top player now for Villa

Even though McGinn only cost Villa £2 million, he has already proven to be one of their greatest acquisitions.

He really demonstrated his ability tonight, and it appears like he keeps getting better.

Declan Rice, one of the top defensive midfielders in Europe, was the opponent McGinn faced while running the midfield in that space behind the strikers.

It makes sense why the Villa supporters adore him. And McGinn is currently the engine powering Villa’s comeback in English football.
