Leeds United transfer news as Whites linked with familiar £10m man as Sunderland ace targeted

The most recent rumors and reports about transfers involving Leeds United as the January transfer window gets closer to opening

If Ryan Kent and Leeds United were not connected, the transfer window would not exist. And so, with three

weeks remaining until the January transfer market opens, our good friend Ryan Kent is once

again being linked to a move to Elland Road.

The 27-year-old has seemingly been linked with a move to Leeds for every window in the past

five years and once again the news broke a few days ago that Leeds were being tipped to secure a loan deal for the ex-Liverpool man.

That story has developed further in the past few days with Kent’s time at Fenerbahce now looking like it has definitely come to an end.

Having struggled to make his mark in Turkey, the club appear ready to cut all ties with the player and he seems more than happy to head home too. Nottingham Forest are also reportedly in the running for his signature, with Leeds boasting two loan slots in their current squad which would allow them to secure a deal until the end of the season.

Burnley enter race for Leeds target

It was already billed as a tasty battle between two promotion hopefuls, but now Burnley have reportedly joined Leeds United and Leicester City in the race to sign Sunderland defender Trai Hume. The 21-year-old has only been at the Stadium of Light for just under two years, but has made such an impact that he’s now being talked about as a potential Premier League player with Championship promotion hopefuls joining top flight teams in tracking the young Northern Ireland international.

Hume has established himself as a right back for Sunderland this season, and the Black Cats are eager to keep him in the starting lineup. But, teams believe they can take full advantage of the uncertainty surrounding Tony Mowbray’s dismissal and make a move in January that would be a very nice acquisition at the appropriate price.
