Tottenham is keeping an eye on a number of players as they deal with an injury crisis in the center of defense, including Marc Guehi and Jarrad Branthwaite.

Spurs met this week to talk about defenders they might add in January because of Micky van de Ven’s injury and Eric Dier’s contract status.

After tearing his hamstring during this month’s loss to Chelsea, Van de Ven will not be able to play again until 2024.

Dier’s contract expires in the summer of 2020; he has been out of favor since Ange Postecoglou’s arrival before to Van van Ven’s injury.

Guehi of Crystal Palace, Branthwaite of Everton, and Malick Thiaw of AC Milan, Morato of Benfica, and

Goncalo Inacio of Sporting Lisbon have all shown promise in the Premier League this year. Spurs are also keeping an eye on these players.
