Norwich City: According to sources, Norwich City are close to finalizing a long-term deal for Manchester City attacker Daniel Ogwuru.

The Canaries are looking for a central forward, and transfer master Pete O’Rourke

has made sure that Ogwuru has a clinical in front of going from the north west.

The 18-year-old has sparkled at youth level, netting 16 goals in 41 appearances

Ogwuru

with the Residents’ development squads, but has yet to play a single first-team game in his career.

The Premier League champions signed Ogwuru from Bolton Drifters for £100,000 when he was only 14 years old.

Norwich are believed to be looking for a striker, but it’s unclear whether

Ogwuru would pursue a first-team berth or join Alan Neilson’s under-21s.

Several improvements have been made at Carrow Street throughout the

transfer window, notably Brazilian midfielder Pedro Lima and former Benfica

full-back Guillerme Montoia. Kellen Fisher, a full-back, was originally signed for

the under-21s but has quickly moved up to the first-team squad.

Josh Sargent’s lower leg tendon injury has forced Stuart Webber to look for a

replacement before Friday’s trade deadline, with only Adam Idah and Ashley

Barnes remaining as experienced cutting edge options for David Wagner.

The Norfolk club are interested in Everton’s Tom Cannon but may struggle to

fund a deal for the former Preston North End loanee. Meanwhile, reports in

Brazil claim that a deal has been struck for Real Madrid’s Reinier, who is expected to join Italian club Frosinone.
