Jefte in Rangers transfer ‘agreement’ as Brazilian left back awaits green light.
Rangers are about to acquire Fluminense left-back Jefte.
The 21-year-old Brazilian has spent this season on loan at APOEL, but he is supposedly nearing completion of his move to Ibrox after agreeing to
terms with the team. Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reports that the Light Blues are awaiting word from APOEL to release the player so he may join
Philippe Clement and his team for the remainder of the season.
The Gers have been searching for a left-back as Borna Barisic’s contract is set to expire in the summer and Ridvan Yilmaz is expected to leave the
team, if a deal can be reached with Galatasaray.
Mohamed Diomande completed his transfer from Nordsjaelland this morning, and Clement has already acquired Wolves’ Fabio Silva on loan for this
window.
