Rangers have ‘purchase bond’ to sign player – Philippe Clement has intriguing deal in his grasp.

Although there has been much discussion about Ridvan Yilmaz possibly leaving Rangers, the Scottish team is also trying to bolster Philippe Clement’s team at Ibrox. The Scottish team was dealt a major setback when they learned of Abdallah Sima’s injury, but they can now relax a little because they have signed Mohamed Diomande from FC Nordjylland.

That’s according to Danish news outlet BT, which claims that Rangers FC of the Scottish Premiership has acquired Danish player Diomande.

They state the central midfielder is ‘now a Rangers player’, and he will be loaned until the summer, at which point a ‘purchase bond’ will come into effect, meaning an obligatory option to buy.

Rangers are investing just over €5m (DKK40m) in signing the 22-year-old, who initially came from the Right to Dream academy in Ghana before excelling in the Danish league, making 111 appearances in the Superliga, scoring 13 goals and assisting another 14.

With the Rangers at Ibrox, he is now taking the “next step” and will get to “experience one of Europe’s most established fan bases.” Another “beautiful success story” from Nordsjaelland’s academy, the midfielder is chosen by Philippe Clement’s team to take a chance on Diomande.
