The notion of Pittsburgh pursuing Dak Prescott through a trade was brought up by a fan; this topic was recently discussed on Steelers Talk by Chat Sports.

The Cowboys would have to swallow a harsh dead cap if they traded Prescott. Sperry also believes that the Steelers would be unable to absorb the similar cap burden.

In any event, the Steelers’ quarterback position is unsatisfactory. Pittsburgh doesn’t seem to see Kenny Pickett as a long-term centerfield option. By the end of the 2023 season, Mason Rudolph will be free agency, while Mitchell Trubisky will still be Mitchell Trubisky.
