According to a rumor, Wolves has identified Kevin Danso as their “top center-back” target in an effort to strengthen their defense.
Wolves, who correctly identified their back four as their first priority, are reportedly “very interested” in the Lens player, according to Sky Sports News.
With 42 goals from 19 games, the Old Gold are tied with Leicester City for the poorest goals against record in the Premier League. Both teams will probably go to the market for a solution.
According to SSN, Danso is Wolves’ solution, and Fosun plans to support Vitor Pereira by acquiring two central defenders next month.
Despite being an Austrian international, Danso actually came through the MK Dons academy, played for Reading, and then made his breakthrough with FC Augsburg of the Bundesliga. Since joining Lens in 2021, he has made 126 appearances, including 12 this season and earning his 24th cap for his nation. He was named to the Ligue 1 Team of the Year in 2022–2023. This season, Wolves has relied on Toti Gomes, Craig Dawson, and Santiago Bueno.
