Fierce negotiations on as update emerges on Ridvan Yilmaz Rangers exit.
According to Fanatik, Rangers and Galatasaray are reportedly engaged in heated talks regarding Ridvan Yilmaz’s transfer.
On January 24, a Turkish media outlet reported that negotiations with Galatasaray about a loan with a buyout option had come a close.
Since the team is hoping to close a deal before the transfer deadline, it is thought that he would arrive at Galatasaray with a guaranteed contract clause to play.
Move soon
This appears to be a classic case of ‘Who blinks first?’ as Rangers look to recoup the money they spent to bring him to Ibrox.
Back in 2022, he was signed as potentially a first-team regular but has failed to usurp Borna Barisic in the strongest XI.
Yilmaz looks like he’s leaving this month, regardless of the Croatian’s plans for the end of the season, but whatever happens with him, it should
happen sooner rather than later as Rangers are running out of time to find a replacement.
With one week remaining before the transfer deadline, their attempts to sign other left-backs this summer have fallen
on hard times, so hopefully they are working on deals behind the scenes, as they did with Mohamed Diamonde.
