Official approach update emerges in bid to sign Million Manhoef at Ibrox.
According to Football Scotland, Rangers have not formally pursued signing Vitesse Arnhem attacker Million Manhoef this month.
According to the Scottish news source, Abdallah Sima suffered an injury against Ibrox on January 23. Philippe Clement confirmed the news on Tuesday. This could force the Light Blues to make a last-minute effort to sign a replacement attacker.
Manhoef has become the Gers’ top target this month after the Scottish Sun revealed on December 29 that the team was preparing a £2.5 million raid for the teenage Dutch player.
However, in a brand new update, the Gers are yet to firm up their interest in the 22-year-old winger with an official approach.

Sima leads all scorers at Ibrox this season with 14, goals that have been crucial to Rangers’ advancement in the Scottish Premiership and Europa League. His extended absence will be greatly missed.
The attacker has nine goals and two assists in 18 games in the SPFL. Rangers will definitely miss his presence and attacking impact at Ibrox, especially given their current goal-scoring woes as a team.
The Senegalese star’s absence will undoubtedly be lessened by the arrival of Fabio Silva on loan from Wolves, but it will still be felt deeply, which is why the Gers are being pressured to acquire another forward.
Rabbi Matondo, Scott Wright, Ross McCausland, and Todd Cantwell are all capable of filling in but doubts persist over their influence and quality in front of goal like Sima has enjoyed.
Manhoef, who has scored four goals in his first 17 Eredivisie games for Vitesse, is a tempting option for the Gers, but it is not certain that he will be the solution Clement needs to replace Sima.
That shouldn’t deter the Gers from attempting to entice some of the most intriguing hidden talents in Europe, and considering his £2.5 million price tag, it might be worthwhile for the team to make an official approach at this time.
