The attacking midfielder, who was on loan at Hearts for the first half of the season, is back at

Auchenhowie.

The Ibrox team called him back last Friday, and Rangers are eager to find him a new home for the

balance of the season.

Prior to their game against Hibernian tomorrow, Clement was questioned about the 20-year-old during

his pre-match press conference this afternoon.

Additionally, he reaffirmed his desire for the young player to get more first-team experience.

The Belgian said: “The clear plan with Alex [Lowry] is we want him on loan to get minutes this season.

“We want him to go on loan and get stronger by playing regular games. We will see what is the best place

for him to go and develop.”

Meanwhile, Kieran Dowell has had successful surgery on his Rangers injury.

The midfielder, 26, has been ruled out for a lengthy period after picking up a knock during the winter

break.

And Philippe Clement has revealed Dowell has had surgery to correct the issue he suffered during the

warm-weather break to La Manga.

The Ibrox boss previously explained that Dowell was dealt the cruel injury blow after his studs caught in

the pitch in training.

“Kieran was really unlucky that he stuck in the grass on a bad pitch,” said Clement. “He will be out quite

a long time normally.”

Now, Dowell has come through surgery with Clement stating the operation “went well”.

However, Rangers will be without Ben Davies, Kemar Roofe and Danilo. Abdallah Sima is also sidelined

after injury ended his time at the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal.

Clement said today: “Ben (Davies) is not available.

“Dowell had his operation and this went well. Kemar Roofe and Danilo are also still out.

“Ben is more short-term compared with the other guys.”
