Aston Villa has made a better offer for Morgan Rogers, a “priority target,” as Unai Emery looks to acquire the Middlesbrough forward.

After Middlesbrough rejected an earlier offer to sign Morgan Rogers, Fabrizio Romano claims that Aston Villa has made a better offer. The 21-year-old winger is open to the move and is Unai Emery’s top target.

Aston Villa make an improved offer for Morgan Rogers

Despite Moussa Diaby’s arrival, Unai Emery has been searching for a new wide attacker since the summer. In order to strengthen his attacking configuration and add a fresh perspective to the forward line, the Spaniard sought out a different winger.

There were connections to Spanish international Nico Williams before to the start of the January transfer window. But a move might not appear feasible now that the winger is committed to Athletic Club for another season. Middlesbrough’s Morgan Rogers is now the focus of Aston Villa, and the youngster is amenable to a move.

Middlesbrough has already turned down an offer from Aston Villa, but Fabrizio Romano has acknowledged that they have made a better one. Emery wants the team to complete a move for the 21-year-old priority target at all costs because he sees him as a crucial addition.

Rogers sees this as a fantastic chance to advance his career and gain entry into the Premier League. Aston Villa is certain that this move will be completed and is hoping that Middlesbrough will accept their most recent offer for the 21-year-old key target.

Unai Emery seeks a new attacker

While a left-winger has appeared as a priority signing since the summer, Emery has also targeted a star with a general attacking mindset. A move for Emile Smith Rowe was on the cards, but Arsenal are unwilling to sell despite heavy interest from Aston Villa and West Ham United.

In addition, Emery is still considering Armando Broja as a potential center-forward addition. Giovanni Reyna of Borussia Dortmund is also linked, however it’s unclear if that transfer will happen during this window.

Regarding Rodgers, he has shown promise with Middlesbrough this year, and Emery believes the 21-year-old would enhance his available alternatives. The player is eager to transfer, and should the Championship club choose to turn down the offer and seek more from the Premier League team, he might pressure them to accept it.
