The current Boston Bruins club crushed its opponents 9–4, on a night when the team honoured the 1987–88
Bruins team who broke a 45-year playoff jinx against the Montreal Canadiens.

Bruins had a point or more. It was unmistakably reminiscent of the 1980s. Charlie Coyle, Brad Marchand, Jake
DeBrusk, James van Riemsdyk, Trent Frederic, Kevin Shattenkirk, Hampus Lindholm, Morgan Geekie, Matt
Grzelcyk, Jesper Boqvist, Charlie McAvoy, and Jakub Lauko all had an assist in addition to Danton Heinen
lighting the lamp three times.
Joel Armia, Cole Caufield, Mike Matheson, and Brendan Gallagher all scored goals for the Montreal Canadiens,
who also received three assists from Sean Monahan. Joshua Roy, Rafael Harvey-Pinard, Nick Suzuki, and Juraj
Slafkovsky each contributed one assist.
Linus Ullamrk of the Boston Bruins made 17 saves in the game’s conclusion.
Before being replaced by former North eastern goalie Cayden Primeau, who gave up one goal on six shots, Samuel
Montembeault gave up eight goals on thirty shots.
