During the Dallas Cowboys’ NFL playoff game against the Green Bay Packers last weekend, a
cheerleader for the team has accused the latter of acting unsportsmanlike.
Cowboys cheerleader Darian Lassiter, who was upset with the Packers players after their Sunday (Jan.
14) Wild Card playoff game versus Dallas, vented her frustrations on TikTok this week. During
touchdown celebrations, Lassiter claims that she and other Cowboys cheerleaders were subjected to
hostile remarks by Packers players, and she felt “disrespected” by their supposed behaviour.
“I have never experienced such disrespect from the other teams’ players to the cheerleaders in my five
years as an NFL cheerleader,” Lassiter said. “We would literally be minding our own business and the
Packers just scored a touchdown — this is one example. They would come up to us standing on the side
lines minding our own business and start yelling at us.”
Lassiter also made the argument that if the Packers had behaved similarly towards the Cowboys
players, the referees would have penalised them. “It seems like unsportsmanlike behaviour, and it’s
absurd that they can’t do that to other players or Cowboys players, but they can do it to the cheerleaders
and nothing will happen,” the author said. I am aware of how important the playoffs are. I really
understand, but that does not mean you should lose sight of your modesty and deference to ladies.
