DeSean Jackson Smacks Dak Prescott Following the Packers’ Defeat.
Given that quarterback Dak Prescott is approaching the end of his contract, concerns have been raised over the quarterback’s future with the Dallas Cowboys now that they must watch the remainder of the playoffs from home.
Even though Prescott has established himself as one of the best performers at his position, his postseason struggles are undeniable. In fact, veteran NFL wide receiver DeSean Jackson believes that Dallas needs to find a new quarterback if they hope to advance.
While Prescott has proven to be one of the better players at his position, his postseason failures can’t be discounted, so much so that former NFL wide receiver DeSean Jackson thinks Dallas should look at finding a new quarterback if they want to improve.
Jackson stated, “Go ahead and shoot for another 12-5 or 11-6 season, make it to the playoffs, and be home after the first week or two.””They are no longer the Cowboys of the 1990s. They’re cursed, and something has to drastically change. Furthermore, I doubt it’s just Dak.
Since Prescott took over as the starting quarterback, the Cowboys have advanced to the postseason five times overall and three times in a row.
And despite winning by double digits in each of the last three seasons and by twelve in the previous five, they have never been able to go past the divisional round.
This time, they allowed the Green Bay Packers to get out to a sizable lead and were unable to make up ground.
Prescott’s employment is probably secure for the time being because the Cowboys elected to retain head coach Mike McCarthy for one another season.
But with their new head coach and quarterback, 2024 might be a pivotal year for the Cowboys.
Another bad season may mean significant adjustments for the team on all fronts, whether it’s an early playoff exit or no postseason appearance at all.
