Contract update emerges as Rangers eye Marko Bulat transfer

Contract update emerges as Rangers eye Marko Bulat transfer.

Marko Bulat, a target for the Rangers, officially completed a contract extension at Dinamo Zagreb, ending any rumours that he might leave.

On January 19, Glasgow World revealed that the Gers’ pursuit of the 22-year-old midfield player would come to a stop.

Football Scotland asserted that the Ibrox team would have had to pay £5 million in fees to sign the Croatian.

Move on

With the exception of Fabio Silva, Philippe Clement’s Rangers have made little headway during the vexing January transfer window.

Bulat has extended his contract, dashing any hopes of a move to Ibrox, despite their pursuit of him.

Rangers need to quickly switch to other targets because they only have a limited number of options because of injuries and form issues, leaving John Lundstram as the staple.

Ryan Jack has had severe injury problems and might perhaps be traded in the summer, while Jose Cifuentes has been a terrible addition.

Although Nils Koppen, the head of recruitment, had kept an eye on Bulat in December, the club needs to quickly change its priorities now that January is almost here.

It’s also widely acknowledged that a left-back is essential, thus all of these factors need to be taken into account right away.

In other Rangers news, there has been an update on the £4.8 million proposal as progress is made in the team’s attempt to sign a player in January.
