During his debut on Viva El Futbol, Antonio Cassano, known for his outspoken personality, sparked controversy once more. After criticizing Gerry Cardinale’s management at AC Milan, the former Italian international switched his focus to Juventus, casting doubt on Thiago Motta’s future and recommending Roberto Mancini as a possible successor.

Cassano’s comments follow Mancini’s recent interview with RAI, in which the former Italy national team coach expressed sorrow for leaving his job to manage the Saudi Arabian national team, from which he was just sacked.

Cassano used an example to explain Mancini’s decision to coach Saudi Arabia: “It’s like if you were LeBron James in the NBA, and Varese called you, and you chose to go there. Mancini was a good coach at the time, and he is still one today: he accepted the Arabs’ offer because they paid him well. Not for other reasons, but for money. If another national team, such as the United States, had contacted him, his decision would have been more reasonable. I wouldn’t have agreed with it, but it would have made more sense.”

Cassano, who has “immense esteem for Roberto,” went on to make a daring prediction about Mancini’s future, especially in relation to Juventus.

“We should pay attention to Mancini-Juve because he will undoubtedly return. I am saying it now. Thiago Motta is currently not doing well. A top club requires a top management rather than a top coach since certain circumstances must be addressed. “Who is better than him?”
