‘Let me go’ – Report: Player informs Rangers he wants to leave Ibrox, continuous talks held Ibrox News

Ridvan Yilmaz informs Rangers he wants to quit Ibrox as continuous talks held behind the scenes after offer.

According to Milliyet, Rangers defender Ridvan Yilmaz has told the team he wishes to leave Ibrox during the January transfer window.

On Friday, January 19, the Turkish newspaper revealed on its website that the left-back is in constant communication with the Gers over his departure.

Galatasaray, a Turkish team, has offered to sign the 22-year-old on loan for the balance of the season, according to Milliyet.

Yilmaz said, “Leave me go, Galatasaray wants me,” according to Milliyet. “Please let me play there all the time and get picked for the national team.”

Ibrox exit?

The left-back’s future in Glasgow has been the subject of much conjecture. With 14 appearances in all competitions this season, Yilmaz hasn’t exactly been lacking in playing time under Philippe Clement.

He has been starting a lot of games lately at left back, even though Borna Barisic, another left back, seems to be the best choice at this position.

But, considering that his contract expires at the end of the season, the latter may also be leaving Ibrox soon.

That could pave the way to a regular first team place for Yilmaz, but perhaps the Turkish defender does not want to wait that long for guaranteed playing time.

The young athlete needs to focus on his or her international career because Turkey has qualified for Euro 2024 this summer.

With six caps for his country, Yilmaz now has a crucial decision to make, however it’s probable that Rangers will have a significant influence in any trade for the player this month.

In other Rangers news, the team has initiated contact with a new striker who is now prepared to play.
