Ridvan Yilmaz really wants to join Galatasaray in Rangers transfer news
Burhan Can Terzi claims that Ridvan Yilmaz “really wants” to sign with Galatasaray and complete his
move from Rangers during the January transfer window.
The Haber Global reporter provided the most recent information on the Turkish international, who is
presently Ibrox’s first-choice left-back, in an interview with Parcali Sportz on January 18.
Philippe Clement has expressed his desire to bring in a new left-back this January, with Yilmaz and
Borna Barisic not up to the Belgian’s high standards in the position.
Make a sensible move.
Yilmaz, who played for Besiktas for four years before being acquired by Rangers for an original sum of
£3.4 million that increased to £5.3 million with add-ons, would make a flawless transition back to his
native Turkey.
The full-back has only made 29 appearances since moving to Ibrox in July 2022, so it has taken some
time for him to adjust to life in Scotland. And after just two years of his five-year contract, it appears like
his Rangers career is coming to an end.
In the event that Rangers lose the Turkish left-back in January, it will be imperative that they quickly
find a successor.
In other Rangers news, in the midst of speculation that the Hearts star would be moving to Ibrox, Steven
Naismith has provided an update on Lawrence Shankland.
