Was 2024 a successful year for Irish rugby?

And what needs to improve in 2025 to bring more success at both provincial and international level?

We may only be halfway through the rugby season, but the end of the year offers a time to reflect. Was this a successful year for Ireland? They won a Six Nations, qualified for a women’s World Cup, competed in the Olympics, defeated the Black Ferns, and won three out of four in November. Is the country still punching above its weight, and have rugby supporters become spoiled? Or are we at a point where more silverware is required, particularly at the provincial level?

Gordon D’Arcy and John O’Sullivan join Nathan Johns to reflect on the last year while also identifying areas for improvement in 2025 to help Irish rugby achieve more success.
