On Wednesday, January 17, Ridvan Yilmaz posted a picture to social media in the midst of rumors that a

bid has been made for the Rangers defender.

On Tuesday, January 16, the Turkish publication Sabah reported that Ridvan might be willing to join

Galatasaray, who reportedly made a loan offer.

The 22-year-old, who participated for Rangers in their Tuesday friendly tie against Copenhagen, has not

received an official statement from either club (16 January).

Ridvan has now posted a photo from that match on his personal Twitter account, accompanied by blue

and white love heart emojis.

Goodbye?

Is this a goodbye message from Ridvan? If the speculation in the media is anything to go by, that may

well be the case.

Answered about the player’s future, Philippe Clement offered nothing to deny rumors of an impending

departure, essentially stating that everyone has a price.

While he hasn’t exactly lit up Ibrox in his time at the team, the Turkey international has shown himself

to be a respectable Borna Barisic’s backup.

It would be odd, though, if Rangers approved Ridvan’s loan leave. Undoubtedly, that is a poor decision,

considering the deficiency of depth at left back.

If it’s a first loan with a purchase obligation, that would be a game changer and probably the first domino

to fall in the late January transfer frenzy.

Given the necessity for a forward and another left-back, Ridvan’s potential departure may open the door

for new deals to be completed.

In unrelated Rangers news, a journalist for Sky Sports has revealed details about the players the Gers are

hoping to sign.
