Rangers have not yet made an official approach for Scott McKenna, the defender for Nottingham Forest,

despite their interest in him, the Daily Mirror reports.

Gers boss Philippe Clement is in the market for reinforcements this month and has already snapped up

Fabio Silva on loan from Wolves.

Clement has admitted he does expect more fresh faces to arrive at Ibrox before the window slams shut.

Forest defender McKenna is surplus to requirements at the City Ground and the Premier League side

want to ship players out.

Rangers do hold an interest in McKenna, however they are yet to make a formal approach for him.

McKenna, 27, may find it appealing to return north of the border after coming through Aberdeen’s youth

system.

This season, the center back has made five appearances for Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

His last appearance came in a 1-1 tie against Burnley at the City Ground in September, and he hasn’t

played again since.
