AFC Wimbledon announced that promising goalkeeper Charlie Wilson-Papps had joined Brighton.
The Dons claim they received a “substantial six-figure fee” for the U15 youngster.
Wimbledon has had a lot of promising keepers signed in the past. Matthew Cox will join Brentford in July 2021, while Will Mannion, who is already on the books of Charlton Athletic, signed for Hull City in July 2016. A panel decided the compensation in the arrangement.
Brighton raided another South London team in 2021, signing goalkeeper James Beadle, who was 17 at the time, from Charlton.
