Pete Carmichael and the New Orleans Saints part ways, firing both offensive assistant coaches.
The New Orleans Saints terminated the employment of their offensive coordinator and two offensive
assistant coaches.
Dennis Allen, the head coach, has announced that Pete Carmichael, the offensive coordinator for the
New Orleans Saints, is leaving the team.
Furthermore, it has been claimed that Kodi Burns, the wide receivers coach, and senior offensive
assistant coach Bob Bicknell were fired by New Orleans.
It was an unexpected choice to fire Burns. Burns was the wide receivers coach for the Saints for his
second season after joining the team in 2022.
He contributed to the creation of All-Pro. Two talented players are Chris Olave and Rashid
Shaheed. Michael
Thomas missed seven games this season with the receiving corps after being placed on injured reserve on November 21.
Olave dominated the team in receiving the last two seasons and was a 2022 contender for Offensive
Rookie of the Year.
The Saints selected him with the 11th overall choice in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, and since
then, he has 159 receptions for 2,165 yards and nine touchdowns.
Shaheed gained five receptions, one rush, and a touchdown punt return in 2023–24, turning him into a
“big play” threat for the New Orleans quarterbacks. Shaheed caught 74 passes for 1,207 yards and seven
receiving touchdowns in 27 games.
Senior offensive assistant to Dennis Allen, Bob Bicknell, recently concluded his second season with the
New Orleans Saints.
Bicknell coached a wide range of positions, including wide receivers and offensive line, during his 14th
NFL season and 29th overall.
