EVERTON TEAM NEWS FOR FA CUP REPLAY

EVERTON TEAM NEWS FOR FA CUP REPLAY

A late fitness check will be conducted for Seamus Coleman and Abdoulaye Doucouré prior to Everton’s FA Cup third round match against Crystal Palace on Wednesday at 7:45 p.m. GMT.

After a contentious goalless draw at Selhurst Park over two weeks ago that resulted in Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s dismissal due to VAR intervention—a decision that was eventually overturned following a successful appeal—Roy Hodgson’s team travels to Goodison Park.

Doucouré, who returned from injury in the goalless draw against Aston Villa over the weekend after missing five games due to a hamstring problem, will be watched closely for signs of exhaustion. Coleman, who has felt tightness in his hamstring, will also be evaluated later.

Ashley Young has now resumed training but the clash with Palace will come too soon for the experienced defender.

Dwight McNeil was forced off with an ankle issue during the latter stages of the first FA Cup clash with Palace but recovered enough to play a part against Villa on Sunday, replacing Arnaut Danjuma as a second-half substitute.

During the pregame press conference on Tuesday, manager Sean Dyche stated that he will choose a team to win on the night. The victorious team will play at home against either Luton Town or Bolton Wanderers in the competition’s round four.

Dele (groin) is still out, and Idrissa Gana Gueye will not be available because he is representing Senegal in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Cheick Doucoure (Achilles), Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, Joel Ward (both thigh), Jordan Ayew (AFCON participation) is out for the visiting team, and Michael Olise (hamstring), Rob Holding (ankle), and Sam Johnstone (calf) are questionable.
