Brendan Rodgers watched his side do it the hard way, but by the end of it all, it was well worth it and it’s something everyone associated with the club will remember forever. Forrest has now equalled Bobby Lennox as Celtic’s most decorated player of all time – 25 trophies to his name.
Premier Sports presenter Connie McLaughlin, who interviewed Forrest on the pitch after the game, hailed his achievements as ‘unbelievable’ and how she doesn’t think she will witness it again in her lifetime.
McLaughlin also revealed on Instagram that she interviewed the winger when he was 17 and now he has done it all with Celtic.
