Doctor issues injury update on Aston Villa attacker Bertrand Traore

We are pleased to have Dr. Rajpal Brar, a specialist on injuries, as our featured columnist. He will provide his opinions on Aston Villa’s injury status every week. Dr Rajpal Brar reports that Bertrand Traore, an attacker for Aston Villa, is not even participating in international competition due to what looks to be a mystery injury.

According to the injury specialist, he might not have recovered as quickly if the exercise had been too intense. The Burkina Faso international hasn’t played in the friendlies against Iran and the Democratic Republic of the Congo since he is gone for AFCON.

Physical therapist and sports scientist Dr. Brar discussed this scenario with Villa News, saying that it’s difficult to determine whether or not it should be taken seriously because there isn’t enough evidence available. It’s possible that he didn’t react as expected when things got intense. As he hasn’t played and is on international duty, it’s unclear exactly what the problem is.

The 28-year-old has struggled with many injuries, playing just 10 minutes in the Premier League this season. In the Conference League, he has made three appearances, all coming off the bench. In November, he played his final senior match for Villa, entering the game late in the 2-1 triumph over AZ Alkmaar.
